Dr. Trazzera is certified by the National Registry of Medical Examiners (NRCME).  The NRCME is a new program from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSE) that requires all physicians that perform physical examination on commercial drivers to be trained and certified on the FMCSA standards, guidelines and regulations according to 49 CFR 391.41 Physical Qualifications for Drivers.

Dr. Trazzera is THE ONLY Cardiologist/Vascular Medicine Specialist who is BOTH a ‘Certified Medical Examiner’ by the NRCME and Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

We specialize in prompt, compassionate Commercial Driver Medical Examination services in accordance with The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Regulations and Guidance.
  • Commercial Driver Medical Certification Examination.  All Paper work provided by Medical Examiner (including Medical Examiner Form 649-F (6045).
  • Your examination will be performed  to the standards of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
  • Providing no complicated medical issues exist the Medical Examiner Certificate will be provided the same day.
  • Most insurance’s accepted for examination.  Please call and verify with our staff and schedule a prompt appointment after registration and payment is made here on line.
  • There is a $100 fee for processing of the Medical Examiner Certificate which should be paid prior to scheduling an appointment.  Patients will be responsible for their insurance co-payment.
  • Copies of your certificate will be provided for you to give to your employer if needed.

INSTRUCTIONS: 
  1. Call our office to set up an appointment.   Verify with our staff that we participate in your health insurance.
  2. Go to the Registration for Commercial Driver Examination Form on the page and complete it answering ALL questions.
  3. Pay the $100.00 non-refundable fee with a credit card or pay pal.  (The fee is for the processing of the Medical Examiner Report, you will also be responsible to submit your health insurance and any co-payment you customarily are responsible for with your health insurance.)
  4. You are ready to come in to complete your physical and receive you certificate.
