Cardiology Consultation/Evaluation

You have chosen Farmingdale Heart & Vascular for your Cardiology Consultation.  Cardiologists are experts in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, which generally include diseases of the heart and blood vessels.  Dr. Trazzera, a Board Certified Cardiologist, has had an extensive career with experiences in invasive and interventional techniques such as baloon angioplasty and intracoronary stents as well as the care of critically ill cardiac patients with heart attacks, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary bypass surgery and heart valve surgery.  Unique to his practice is his added training and experience in Vascular Medicine, Phlebology (Vein Care), Heart Disease in Women and Sports Cardiology.  He is a leader in non invasive imaging and is Long Islands only cardiologist with the diverse combination of experience and expertise in Non Invasive Vascular Ultrasound (RVT-Registered Vascular Technologist & RPVI-Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation) and Cardiovascular Computeted Tomography (CVCT).  Dr. Trazzera maintains a rigorous continuing medical education regimen staying current with cutting edge therapies and technologies.  He has continued his work and training in Cardiovascular computed Tomography under the mentorship of Dr. Micheal Poon at Stony Brook University Medical Center.  Dr. Poon is recognised at a world leader in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

Most recently Dr. Trazzera has trained at New York University Medical Center's prestigious 'Vein Center' under the mentorship of one of the worlds experts in Vein Care, Dr. Lowell Kabnick.

A former Collegiate Athlete himself, a USA Hockey Level V Coach and owner of a Minor Professional Sports Franchise, Jr. A Hockey Teams and Youth Hockey Association has afforded him the unique experience of knowing the mental make up of his athletes.  He has an uncommon understanding of cardiovascular disease as it relates to youth, collegiate and professional athletes.  Athletes from a diverse group of sports seek his opinion and expertise as it relates to their individual sport and circumstances prior to participating in highly a competitive atmosphere.
